Two hours before you give it four days

The Encounter Preview  ·  Wednesday, September 17, 2026  ·  6:30–8:30 pm  ·  Brentwood, TN

One evening. Nothing to sign, nothing to commit to. Come find out what actually happens inside the four-day training, ask anything you want, and then decide.

Why there is a Preview at all

The Encounter is four days. That is a real ask — a long weekend, some money, and the willingness to do something uncomfortable in a room with people you have not met yet.

Nobody should say yes to that on the strength of a paragraph on a website.

So there is a smaller door.

What the evening actually is

Here is the honest version.

You will meet the people who lead it. You will hear what the four days consist of and why they are built the way they are. Two or three graduates will tell you what changed for them, in plain language, without the polish. And then there is as much time as you want for questions — including the skeptical ones. Especially those.

There is no pressure and no closing pitch. Some people register that night. Most do not. Both are a good outcome, because the point of the evening is to let you decide with real information instead of a website.

“Like a year of therapy in four days.”

What the training is

What you would be previewing

The Encounter has run since 2005 — more than fifty trainings and over 1,500 graduates across Middle Tennessee.

It is not a conference. Nobody stands at the front and lectures for four days. It is a series of guided experiences that bring the old conclusions quietly running your life into the light, where you can keep what is true and put down what is not. The change happens in you rather than in your notes.

Local therapists and pastors send people here. That is not a tagline — it is how most of these rooms fill.

Our July training sold out. The next one is February 18–21, 2027, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Franklin.

Who is in the room

The people who come

Mostly, they are doing fine. Leaders, parents, business owners, people midway through a good life. Many have read the books, prayed the prayers, and been to counseling — and are tired of understanding a pattern they cannot seem to leave.

Some arrive carrying something heavy. Some arrive simply hungry for more than they have. Both belong in that room, and both have been in every one of them for twenty years.

The Encounter is built on Christian faith and led by people who hold it seriously. You do not have to share it to be welcome, and you will not be cornered. Come curious.
